As we begin the school year, we are dealing with particularly hot weather. Medford Public Schools is closely monitoring the weather and the temperatures in our buildings and classrooms.
Our schools will have additional water available to students during the school day. All physical education teachers have been instructed to prepare for alterations to the class plan and/or location to ensure that all students are safe and healthy. Students are welcome to bring a refillable/reusable water bottle to school to use our water filling stations. In addition, we ask families to make sure students are dressed in loose, cool and breathable clothing, such as shorts and t-shirts.
We will continue to monitor the temperatures in all of our schools to ensure that students remain safe and healthy during the school day.
